Back in my high school days everyone seemed to really enjoy my company, since I was known for my class clown acts during class. One person I will never forget is the girl that used to be obsessed with my hair by playing with it and running her fingers through it every chance she could. Well to my surprise, she had found out where I was after all these years and had stopped in for a visit for a few hours to reunite with old class mates. I thought it was really cool to see someone I used to attend high school with and see how they turned out. It makes me wonder about a lot of old class mates of mine, I do believe Ill be putting out a search myself for all those who I remember.

My wife’s best friend, who lives in N.C., with her new husband and her 4 sons, is always busy doing something with all of the grandchildren that her sons has provided her with, she loves babies and kids, so she is in heaven with all of the family living within a one hour radius of one another. Her house is always full of kids, she used to be a day care provider for the longest time. Her folks and his live close by also.

Anyway she finally took the time to email the wife with the latest good news that her one son’s wife has landed a job at Atlantic Business Technologies, Inc., which is a huge charlotte nc web design company that is doing very well as a full service web development company and she is lucky to land a position with them. This is the field that she has gone to school to study while raising the kids and has really worked so hard in the past several years in getting her foot in the door with a good company.

The wife and I used to talk about things like this during dinner or whatever, funny how instead of talking about these things that we now send it to each other in an email, as she did with this one, she forwarded to me to read, from her best friend. Are we getting lazy or what is the deal?

The wife wants us to take the kids to the movies some time at the end of the week, since school is out and none of the camps that they all have been signed up for will start for another 3 or 4 weeks they are getting a bit restless all ready. School has been out for only 1 1/2 weeks and the natives are restless, imagine that.

I’m told that it is either the movies or a day at the local pool, I choose the movies, so I guess I better find out what is playing that will entertain the entire family for a few hours. I’m choosing a matinee, they are a whole lot cheaper when you have this many people to pay for and of course they all want popcorn and candy which in turn makes them all thirsty for the soda pop that they charge an arm and a leg for.

The house is once again filled with children laughing and running about, up and down the stairs, in and out every door in the house, the phone is ringing off the hook, which tells me that school is out and summer vacation time is here again. I really like this time of year, for the most part I enjoy my children here at home and their friends are for the most part good kids that behave very well while under my roof. We always have the house in the neighborhood that kids are attracted to, we have always had play houses, tree houses, trampolines, bikes, scooter and all of the outside toys that kids love. We have a nice big yard, a nice long paved driveway and just all and all very kid friendly and we like it that way and wouldn’t change a thing. The wife and I decided a long time ago that we would like it to be this way, this way we know where our kids are and what they are doing and who they are doing it with and why. It works out well, most of the time.

I have one brother-in-law who has moved his family at the beginning of this year, to the outskirts of Tampa, Florida, and has just sent an email to us letting us know that he has finally landed a position with a company primarily out of California, but they have one there in Tampa also. The company is American Home Craft and he sounds excited about it, so good to hear the good news.

His wife found employment immediately but it has taken him a bit longer than he expected, and they initially thought that it would be the other way around. He tells us that the kids took real well to their new school, they’ve made plenty of friends and that their school system let the kids out for the year back in May. Our kids here in Virginia just went to their last day of school which was today, mid June, May sounds so early.

The Internet, it seems, assisted him with his search for employment at this company, he sent me the link to their web-site of www.ahcionline.com and the wife and I took a look around the place and it looks like they do some awesome work there. I’m impressed with the way that they have taken the environment in consideration, using the processes that they do to produce their products, they significantly reduce energy consumption, he tells me that that was one reason he was so impressed with this company, I agree that it is a good thing these days.

I hope that it works out well and that they are happy and stay happy in their new home town.
