I finally broke down and had to do it.  I went and got my first pair of glasses so that I could actually see the road while driving at night.  It got pretty bad, I knew I needed glasses when I almost ran into a truck that was in front in me. And I will be able to see much better while watching TV or at the movies, which will be a plus!

I’m so glad I did some research on line before going out and buying prescription glasses, because I found a great company at zennioptical.com.  This site offered by far, the best prices and has a large assortment of frames for the whole family.  Their assortment included tinted sunglasses, bifocals, and a progressive lens among many others. 


 

Buying our treadmill was the best purchase we have ever made.  It allows the wife and I to exercise anytime day or night.  If the weather is bad that is the best time to use it.  If something prevents you from going to the gym or getting outside to exercise having a treadmill is the answer.  I can’t say enough good things about it.  It is the best piece of exercise equipment. 

Beginners through advanced walkers or joggers can benefit from a good cardio work-out on the treadmill.  Not only will it improve your health it is also key in helping you lose weight.  Most gyms have placed their treadmills in front of television sets or movie screens.  Why go to the gym when the same can be done in the comfort of your own home. 

The wife wants us to take the kids to the movies some time at the end of the week, since school is out and none of the camps that they all have been signed up for will start for another 3 or 4 weeks they are getting a bit restless all ready. School has been out for only 1 1/2 weeks and the natives are restless, imagine that.

I’m told that it is either the movies or a day at the local pool, I choose the movies, so I guess I better find out what is playing that will entertain the entire family for a few hours. I’m choosing a matinee, they are a whole lot cheaper when you have this many people to pay for and of course they all want popcorn and candy which in turn makes them all thirsty for the soda pop that they charge an arm and a leg for.

It is always strange to the wife and I when Thursday evening rolls around and there is no Survivor that comes on the entertain us the way we are used to being entertained on Thursday evenings. Survivor is one of the very few shows that come on the television that the wife and I both enjoy, we have been watching it together since the shows conception some eight or nine years now, we would do our best at scheduling around the 8:00pm time slot each week, and it just seems right somehow.

I’m looking forward to this week-end seeing as the wife is taking the kids to some relatives beach house for the week-end for fun in the sun and water activities with a boat load of kids.

I personally am going to say thanks but no thanks to the invite and take the week-end off and just kick back and enjoy the whole time of having the house to myself. Might even take the phone off the hook and tell the wife to call on the cell phone when she calls to speak with me during that time, and I’ll make sure that she tells the kids also!

I’m looking forward to sleeping late, eating what I want, when I want, and watching the television on the sports channel all night long, maybe even take the time to put in a movie or two.
