After a night of making love, he notices a photo of
another man on her nightstand by the bed.

He begins to worry.. ‘Is this your husband?’ he
nervously asks.

‘No, silly,’ she replies, snuggling up to him.

‘Your boyfriend, then?’ he continues.

‘No, not at all,’ she says, nibbling away at his
ear.

‘Is it your dad or your brother?’ he inquires,
hoping to be reassured.

‘No, no, no! You are so hot when you’re jealous!’
she answers.

‘Well, who in the hell is he, then?’ he demands.

‘That’s me before the surgery.’

Flashlights that need a good shake or two

Shake Flashlights have been out on the market for over 15 years now, I suppose and I have actually owned a few through out the years, but I have not been impressed with any that I owned or that I have come into contact with. Now matter long and hard you shake the darn things, at least the  ones that I have tried, did not put out sufficient light what so ever and I just get frustrated in the end.

So when my Dad said that he wanted a Nightstar Shake Flashlight for Father’s Day I immediately told him my opinions on these products that are a great concept, if only they would work worth a damn. My Dad then explained that he had already owned a Nightstar Shake Flashlight and was totally pleased with it and apparently someone else was also, because it disappeared one day and he hasn’t seen it since and really misses having it around, and that actually he would love to have two or three of them, one would go in the car, one in the garage and the other in the house.

So armed with that information I went on-line to see if I could find this particular brand of flashlight and I lucked out in that it came right up in no time. Here is the picture and the Overview of the one I found at www.vat19.com

“The NightStar Flashlight is the best shake flashlight we’ve ever used. Simply shaking this no-battery flashlight for 30 seconds provides more than 20 minutes of light..”

When shaken, a powerful magnet creates electrical energy as it passes through a tightly coiled wire. The energy is stored in a gold capacitor which, unlike a battery, will never corrode, can be recharged several hundred thousand times, and can power the LED light in extreme temperatures.

This forever flashlight is incredibly durable as it can withstand being run over by a car. The NightStar shake flashlight is perfect for the home, in the car, or on the job.

And if my wife is reading this, and I know that she does check out my blog once in a while, Honey, I would really enjoy a new Digital Tire Gauge that they have on this site, a good Father’s Day gift idea.

Sudden Awakening

Woke up this morning to the wind blowing branches up against my bedroom window. I must have been dreaming about something rather on the nightmare side, because the sound of the wind and tree branches on the window had me sitting, or I should say “bolting’, upright and the sweat was just pouring off me. Not my usual method of waking up if you know what I mean. I was a bit startled from it too, after all, I can’t even remember what it was I was dreaming about in the first place. Now I can’t get this stupid line out of my head. The line that keeps repeating itself in my mind is,”the wind blew, the crap flew, and you’re only here for a day or two!“. What a way to start the day!

Future Energy Sources

Going back to school is something that I have been thinking about and keeping in the back of my head for several years now and I am now researching the idea a bit more and the urge to learn something interesting is getting mighty powerful. It just makes sense considering that the company that I work for will pay the majority of the bill and it will possibly raise the amount of money that I am earning, depending on what courses/classes that I take.

At our H.R. department I was given a good amount of literature that they keep on hand and piled up in that department, one of the papers suggested going on-line and looking at the professional engineering courses that are available to take by going to the web-site of www.cedengineering.com, which was just one of many web-sites that they made available to me in all of the papers that I came home with to go through.

There are several areas that I’m interested in and it will take some time to figure out just what path I want to take, but one class stood out from all of the others, it is called Future Energy Sources and is described briefly as follows: “This course describes the state-of-the art, cutting edge efforts by scientists and engineers in the United States who are involved with research to continue to find alternate energy sources for the future.”

I was talking with the wife about it and she also thinks that this course would be a good one to possibly start out with and see how it feels to start trying to continue my education, while still working full-time and being a father and husband. There isn’t enough time in the days as it is, so I imagine that this will be a challenge, but I do feel up to the challenge at this point of my life and I want to go ahead and get the ball rolling on it as soon as possible.
