One of the kids was looking at a web-site that offers a guide in order to prepare for the social work test that is mandatory to pass before becoming employed as a social worker, it is amazing at the tools that are out there on-line. I tell ya that I was very surprised to see a site like that on the screen because this one child of mine never has anything on the screen that isn’t animated or musical or war like.

Of course I had to ask him what was up with that and he tells me that one of the teachers at school was telling the class about how she had planned on going into the field of social work and in the middle of her college education she decided that she had made an error in career choices and then she managed to switch things around and proceeded to go into the educational field instead. And how she is glad that she did, I guess her point being that it is never too late to start something that you believe in and my kid was impressed with her story and actually was surfing the Internet looking for things related in the social worker area, weird but true.

In speaking of my father is dawned on me that Father’s Day is coming up in a few short weeks, I’m thinking that I would enjoy taking the family down to my folks place and taking them out for dinner to celebrate Father’s Day with my Dad. I don’t think the wife will object to that at all, but I guess that I should check with my folks first and make sure that they haven’t made any plans yet.

My folks live out in the country and have the coolest house that they are always remodeling in some way or another. My Dad has put a whole heck of a lot of blood, sweat and tears into the place and just keeps right on going year after year.

I’m lucky that my Dad and I have a good relationship going on at this point and time and that he makes an effort to call and talk with me every other month or so. There is always going on with him and Mom that he shares with me and I treasure the times that we do get a chance to chat about them all.

His newest project is the flooring in the house, Mom has always wanted a nice heart pine floor in the house, mainly in the front room and the dining area and then leading into the kitchen. So as a gift to my mother he has started the process of shopping around for the best value that he can come up with without jeopardizing the quality that he expects.

One of his buddies suggested going on the Internet and looking up the web-site of www.snheartpine.com, which he did and he is now very excited after looking at that site and wants to get started. I promised him that I would go on-line and look at site, which I did, and I must say that the pictures were really impressive, the work is done nicely and done with quality materials. I’m sure they will be delighted with their choose and I hope that it doesn’t take too long to get it all finished so that he can start on the next project before the Christmas holidays roll around again.

Our eldest turns 21 today and it really makes me feel like an old man thinking about it. Twenty-one years ago life was so different, I had my health and life was good. Life is still good, just wish my health would get a bit better, the wife is making sure that I am seeing the right doctors and hopefully I will get a few issues under control soon that should make a difference in my daily life. I banking on it cause there is a whole lot still going on out there that I indeed on participating in.

My wife has been wanting to upgrade our master bed and bath some time this year and one item that she is determined to make happen is a walk in tub. We have been seeing several ads on the television lately that have gotten our interest sparked big time.

So in an effort to get me moving on the project she went on-line and found a web-site of www.remainactive.com which has several models that look like what we are interesting in. I was really surprised to see the variety of walk in tubs that they have come up with.  Of course we both want the model that has the largest price tag on it, but man is it sweet with an inline heater and 20 injected air jets for a great massage, and I really think that the enjoyment that we will get out of it will justify the amount spent.
