Crazy Weather this evening

According to the local news channel we are in for some severe weather for the rest of the evening and into the morning, we shouldn’t get it too awfully bad here, but I am concerned about numerous friends and relatives that are living right in the path of what they are calling tornado warnings. I’ll have to keep an eye open for up-dates and make a few phone calls before laying my head down for the evening.

How to build a computer…………..

How to Build a Computer with only a screwdriver and the ability to read easy and fully illustrated instructions told in plain English sounds like a good concept but do I really have the patience to attempt this in an effort of trying to save a few hundred bucks. Guess there is one way to find out.

The house has been in need of another PC, we have two of them, although the one is on it’s last leg, but with so many people needing access to them constently, it can cause quite a out-cry at times. And with money being as tight as it is right now for just about everybody it sucks to even think about having to sink a good chunk of money into another computer right now.

The wife brought to my attention a web-site called http://www.easyasmypc.com which offer kits of several kinds of computers to ship to you and you then put the PC together and the savings can a plenty. We discussed it quite a bit and Luvie agrees that it is worth a try and that she will make sure that she is not going to be around the house when I attempt to put it together. She knows me all to well and is sure that there will be a great deal of moaning and a groaning and plenty of loud banging and cursing the whole time that it takes to assemble the much needed piece of modern technology.

Audition for Talent Show

The wife and the oldest daughter took off to the middle school to watch our youngest, along with her friend, audition today and I’m glad the wife remembered to take the new video camera that I gave to her this past Christmas. She is still learning to use it and was a bit nervous about having to try and use the camera and still be able to concentrate enough on watching what and how the girls were performing.

They all came home in high spirits and after watching the short video of some of the other talents, I’m sure that my girls will be one of the best acts in the up and coming Talent Show that is scheduled some time in early June.

They will find out if they have been accepted either tomorrow or Monday, I’m sure that they were a total hit today!

“Nothing good lasts forever”

Criminal Attorneys in Los Angeles | California Criminal Law Questions and Discussion was not what I expected to see in the Subject Tittle line that my nephew had sent in his email last night, it was a good thing that I noticed that it was from him or else it would have been deleted immediately along with the other spam that is inevitable these days.

Nick has been living full time in California for going on four years now and has managed to keep himself out of trouble and things were looking up for him, got himself a good job with great benefits and had a nice small wedding with a gal that he adores completely. But as we all know, nothing good lasts forever, and now he has gotten himself in a jam that necessitates the hiring of an attorney. He and his new bride, that he met and married in sunny California, were on their way home from a company party (he landed a job with the L.A. Dept. of Sanitation) when they were pulled over and things resulted in him being arrested for a DUI, which could cost him his job with city that he has been doing so well at.

So the kid has done his research and was sending me the link for www.kelawyers.com which is for the attorney that he has selected to represent him when his day at court comes about. The firm is rated at a top 5% US Law Firm and has over 50 years of courtroom experience and they specialize in all criminal and DUI matters. Sounds to me that they are qualified to do the job and I hope that they make this as easy on them as possible.

Honor Roll Student - that’s my girl

Our youngest of the bunch came home very upbeat this afternoon, usually she is dragging her bookbag along side of her while dragging her feet for the short distance between the bus stop and the front door, the bus stop is only one house down the block on the corner, which is a good thing.

She tells me that during the morning announcements they were reading the names of the students who had made the honor roll and she about fell out of her seat when she heard her name being announced, for the first time ever for her. Our oldest daughter made the honor roll one time also, way back when she was in her freshman year, I do beleive.
