Flashlights that need a good shake or two
Shake Flashlights have been out on the market for over 15 years now, I suppose and I have actually owned a few through out the years, but I have not been impressed with any that I owned or that I have come into contact with. Now matter long and hard you shake the darn things, at least the ones that I have tried, did not put out sufficient light what so ever and I just get frustrated in the end.
So when my Dad said that he wanted a Nightstar Shake Flashlight for Father’s Day I immediately told him my opinions on these products that are a great concept, if only they would work worth a damn. My Dad then explained that he had already owned a Nightstar Shake Flashlight and was totally pleased with it and apparently someone else was also, because it disappeared one day and he hasn’t seen it since and really misses having it around, and that actually he would love to have two or three of them, one would go in the car, one in the garage and the other in the house.
So armed with that information I went on-line to see if I could find this particular brand of flashlight and I lucked out in that it came right up in no time. Here is the picture and the Overview of the one I found at www.vat19.com.
“The NightStar Flashlight is the best shake flashlight we’ve ever used. Simply shaking this no-battery flashlight for 30 seconds provides more than 20 minutes of light..”
When shaken, a powerful magnet creates electrical energy as it passes through a tightly coiled wire. The energy is stored in a gold capacitor which, unlike a battery, will never corrode, can be recharged several hundred thousand times, and can power the LED light in extreme temperatures.
This forever flashlight is incredibly durable as it can withstand being run over by a car. The NightStar shake flashlight is perfect for the home, in the car, or on the job.
And if my wife is reading this, and I know that she does check out my blog once in a while, Honey, I would really enjoy a new Digital Tire Gauge that they have on this site, a good Father’s Day gift idea.
