Youngest stayed home from school today
Our youngest of the kids had a rough time going to sleep last night, it was well after 11:00pm and I saw that she was still up, going back and forth to the kitchen, bathroom and upstairs to her sister’s room. I kept telling her to get her fanny in the bed or she would never be able to get up in time for school in the morning.
So it didn’t come to much of a surprise when this morning she comes into our room announcing that she was having a bad stomach ache from her Irritable Bowel Syndrome that she suffers so badly with at that at least once or twice a week she misses going to school. It really bites because there is nothing that anyone can do to make her stomach stop from hurting, so she ends up curled up in a ball, trying to fall back to sleep and she usually does drift back to sleep which makes it difficult for her to go to bed at a decent hour that evening so that she will be able to get up and go back to school the next day. It is a vicious cycle that affects the whole family terribly, I’m sorry to say.
