Web hosting made simple

I found a web-site that makes the decision of picking which web hosting is for you. It has picked the 10 best Web Hosting Sites and ranked them by affordability, reliability, up time and technical support which makes it a simple and easy site to maneuver around in, which is a plus in my book, to say the least.

Something that I found interesting was their tips for avoiding web hosting scams and inform you of some of the tricks that these companies use on people in order to gain their business. On the bottom of that page are words to the wise: Remember to read both the TOS (terms of service) and AUP (acceptable use policy) to ensure no hidden surprises later!

I was surprised to see that I was not familiar with the majority of web hosting sites, of course Yahoo is there and I just recently heard of Go Daddy, not that I am that much into that part of computing, but still, I don’t live in a cave either.

The link to their Quick Start tells of the three main things that you need just to get you started on a Web page which are a domain name, a web design in mind, and your web-hosting and then they take it from there with a detailed step by step to get you going on your way, which can be done all by your self, as long as you know the basics of the computer world.
One of our daughters will be taking a class next year the deals just with that, the developing of a web-site, so I have bookmarked this site of www.webhostingchoice.com for future use, it may be of some use to her or her mom and I when she turns to us with that face of hers that is screaming “I need help” which at that point we decided which one, mom or dad, gets to be the one to help.
