Web surfing with a mask on.

I have served in the military in my younger years, and believe me when I tell you that I appreciate all of the freedoms that have and enjoy here in the good ol’ U.S. of A. and I’d like to think that here at my house we all appreciate it and keep up as all well as we can on the activities that are taking place every day over in the Middle East. Our eldest daughter has numerous friends that have over the past several years, that have joined the military and are now awaiting their papers, or at boot camp and many are over in the Middle East right now and some have even done their time and have returned home. Politics are something that are discussed openly and passionately in our house by even the youngest of the clan, you could at any time walk into a room full of debates, some even quite heated, by folks discussing the up and coming elections for the Presidency, gas prices, and of course the war.

The other evening after watching a television show concerning the war, we were discussing how they have to deal with restricted access to the Internet in the Middle East, and of course there are numerous other countries with such policies in place.  Something that we just sit down and sign-on to and start surfing around on here back home with out a second thought. With the PC right beside us and all ready signed on, the wife quickly found a web-site www.blacklogic.com that offers a solution to that problem and lots more.

It explains that a VPN is a virtual private network you can think of it as a tunnel that goes over the Internet. Each VPN connection is totally anonymous on the Internet and it helps to keep activities anonymous and safe. VPN Internet access is Vidal option for people worried about their security and privacy.
This service is used a lot over in Kuwait and Qatar which are places that we hear in the news almost daily.

Anonymous Surfing is attractive for lots of usages also including keeping you anonymous at work, school or at home, even behind firewalls, it prevents you ISP from spying on you. Plus you no longer need to use a proxy site, you can bypass blocked sites like blog sites, poker and adult sites, even allows you to view YouTube and Flickr, and others.

So watching a t.v. show about the war ended up in a lesson of how to gain access to the Internet and remain behind a virtual mask to keep your identity a secret for what ever reasons you may have, and their seems to be numerous reasons why someone would want or need to.
