Rain is good

Well our immediate area weathered the storm fairly well, we got a nice amount of rain that the newly planted garden very much was in need of. But the first thing that I did this day was call my folks and make sure that they were O.K. according to the news Stafford County thinks that they had a tornado and was hit extremely hard, and of course that is right where my parents live.

My Dad sounded tired, seems he was up most of the night in anticipation of the storm, they own a pretty large piece of property with a lot of trees. They had lots of wind and rain but he seems to think that there is minimal damage that he will have to deal with at some point soon. They lost power several times but he was all set and ready to switch on the generator that he keeps at hand for just those reasons.

Guess I’ll need to get down there soon and see if I can lend him a hand with some of things that need doing, haven’t been down there for quite some time and I think now would be a good time to get off of my duff and take a nice drive down to the country.
