Flea Marketing

Trying to get my act together and make some cash this year is turning out to be a bit of a challenge. What with the buying public a bit tight on their finances due to being afraid to spend for fear of becoming poor, I’m  guessing. I have a somewhat extensive collection of odds and ends you might say. Old antique toys and hard to find matchbox cars, a rather large motorcycle toy collection consisting of everything from Thomas plastics from the fifties to cast irons from the thirties to present, Franklin Mints, all types. Even in the process of finishing up a kind of “dollhouse Harley shop”, complete with figures and equipment. I carry sterling and gold items, antiques of all types, even furniture pieces. paintings, photographs, signature pieces. I even have jewelry, and vintage minstrel show costumes. And boxes upon boxes of smalls and everyday items that I rarely even look at.

I’ve got original native American pieces, even hides and mounts from taxidermists. My latest acquisitions are a fully tanned goat hide complete with it’s hooves and an American mountain lion, or Puma, as it is sometimes called. The lion is a mounted rug, The unique part of the lion rug is the taxidermist used the lions real teeth in the mounting. There are a few tears in the backside that shouldn’t be too much of a problem to correct and only one claw is actually missing from one of the front paws.

I’m just hoping the buying public shakes off their fear of the unknown and get back to enjoying life’s offers. The only way to keep the style in which we’ve become accustomed is to continue to keep the cash flowing. In order to make money one must indeed spend money!
